1. Merely listening is not learning; learning is incorporating truth into ones life, and we do that by obeying the truth. We are Christs disciples if we obey His commands. John 15:10,11
2. We are entrusted with the Gospel; to be trusted is to keep something safe. To be entrusted is to share with others what one has received. We are given the truth in order to share it. To say I believe is to say I obey...and to obey is to share what I believe. I Thessalonians 2:4
3. What we share we keep, what we keep for ourselves we soon will lose. We are given so we can give, taught so we can teach, blessed so we can be a blessing. John 12:24... ...unless it dies, it remains alone.
4. Learning is discovering; a teacher can stimulate my thinking but I learn when I myself discover. And what I discover becomes mine forever. Jeremiah 15:16
5. Biblical rest is never withdrawal from difficulties...it is allowing pressure to be a productive power in my life, allowing peace to rule in all circumstances. Col.3:15 Pressure becomes peace when it is properly shared. Matthew 11:28-3O
6. He who fails to plan plans to fail.... and he resigns himself to a life of mere existence,
7. All of life is mission. Christ said, As the Father sent me into the world, so have I sent you into the world. John 17:28. Every Gospel book ends with the command to be witnesses in all our worlds...
Matthew 28:29 Going into all the world, make disciples..
Mark 6:15 Go into all the world, preach the Gospel...
Luke 13:47 Repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem...
John 20:21 As the Father has sent me, so send I you..
8. Gods greatest gift to the world is the local church. which is the Body of Christ, through which He therefore works. Its manual is the Bible, its mandate is the world, its method is to develop and use our various gifts, its glory is to enjoy the Head, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Ephesians 5:25
9. I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the Gospel of Gods Grace. Acts 20:24. Amazingly, Christ lives in me... Galatians 2:20; I Cor.6:19.
10. I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord... Philippians 3:8. The Word is Gods Provision, prayer is our eager response, others are the purpose for whom we are living.
11. One creates something in order to enjoy it. God so loved the world...for the purpose of enjoying it. I am excited to read that God rejoices over us with singing (Nehemiah 3:17). He works in us both to make us willing and obedient so He can enjoy us (Philippians 2:13).
12. What God can do, He will do if we allow Him to. "God is able to make ALL grace overflow to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will overflow in EVERY good work." (2 Cor.9:8). We remain impoverished, ill-equipped, insignificant by our own choice.
I can't, He never said I could;
He can, He always said He would!! Just let God be God!!!
