Thankful Hearts

Have you ever wondered why the Bible reminds us many times of our need to be thankful?I was amazed as I pondered through my large concordance and noticed the number of verses which admonished us to be thankful. Below are just a few of them:

In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. (Colossians 3:17)

Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. (Ephesians 5:20)

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. (Psalm 50:14)

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. (Psalm 95:2)

To Thee I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and call upon the name of the Lord. (Psalm 116:17)
