Pastor Max Frazier, Jr. is the Principal of the Village Schools of the Bible.
He joined the Village Schools in August 1999. Max is pictured here with his wife, Marlys. We praise the Lord for the gift that Max and Marlys are to Village Schools!
Max has been used of the Lord to strengthen and expand the availability of the Village School ministry--while remaining ever-faithful to the Schools' mission. As the Lord leads, Max is eager to continue development of new possibilities of service.
Max's experience has been varied, using the gifts and abilities God has given him to serve Christ particularly in Christian Education. He finished high school in Boone, Iowa, and graduated from Wheaton College with a BS in Biology. He studied at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and earned his MA degree (with honors) in Old Testament Studies, at the Wheaton Graduate School of Theology.
He has pastored Evangelical Free churches in Freeport and Chicago, Illinois, Albert City, Iowa, and Ankeny, Iowa. He was chairman of the Bible Department at the Des Moines Christian School and the school chaplain. He was adjunct-instructor at the Moody Bible Institute Evening School from 1976 to 1982 and also taught at the Community Colleges in Fort Dodge and Ankeny, Iowa.
He has written a two-year Bible Instruction course, as well as a book on Ephesians for overseas ministries. He has authored a booklet on Discipleship in both English and Hungarian. He also authored a Bible commentary for children and general overseas ministries. He is especially strong in administration, having organized and conducted Bible studies, pastoral training and leadership development courses. He is trained in discipleship through the Navigator 2:7 Program and the Biblical Institute for Leadership Development (BILD) Program. He is a regular speaker at International Messengers' staff conference in Eastern Europe.
He has been active in leadership roles in many areas. He was the President of the Wheaton Graduate School Student body, has been a member and chairman of Timberlee Christian Center and the Hidden Acres Camping and Retreat Ministries. He was the President of Ankeny, Iowa, Ministerial Association in 1994-1995, and was Chairman of the Church-Pastoral Relationship Committee of the Central District of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
