Genesis: A Devotional Study

The book of Genesis can be divided into two parts. Each part is unique. Chapters 1-11 form the first division, the theme of which is "beginnings" with the key verse being Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Genesis 1-11 can be outlined as follows:

Entrance of sin on earth (chapters 1-11)
A. Creation (chapters 1-2)
B. The Fall (chapters 3-5)
C. The Flood (chapters 6-9)
D. The Tower of Babel and the Confusion of the Languages (chapters 10-11)

Genesis 1	Genesis 6-7
Genesis 2-3	Genesis 8-9
Genesis 4-5	Genesis 10-11
